Our story

Why it's called Mía

Mía started as a nickname. When Liah was little, her dad called her “Liah Mía.” He even made up a funny song about it and used to sing it to her. When Liah started designing her own beaded pieces, the name came with her.

She picks every bead, plans every pattern, and strings each piece by hand. She makes only two of each design, so the piece you get is almost one of a kind.

Mía by Liah is a family project. Every order is packed with care and handled with a parent, from the first message to delivery.

Drops

What is a drop?

A drop is a small collection Liah releases all at once: about five designs, with only two of each. New drops come out each season, or sooner when a drop sells out. Join the email list to hear about the next one first.

How fast will my order go out?

Drop pieces are already made, so orders go out within 1–2 days.

Will a sold-out design come back?

Usually not. Each design is made in small numbers on purpose. If you loved one that sold out, request a custom piece in similar colors.

Custom pieces

Can I order a custom piece?

Yes. Use the contact form and choose “A custom piece.” Tell Liah the piece, colors, and any charms you'd like. She'll reply with ideas and a price before making anything. Custom pieces are $10 more than drop pieces and take about 2 weeks.

How much does a custom piece cost?

Custom pieces are $10 more than drop pieces: keychains $20, bracelets $25, and lanyards $35–$40.

How long does a custom piece take?

Please allow at least 2 weeks from when you approve the design, plus delivery or shipping time.

Shipping and delivery

How much is shipping?

Shipping by mail is a flat $5 per order.

Do you deliver locally?

Yes. Drop-off is free in Corinth, TX. Mention it in the checkout notes and we'll email you to set up a time.

Fit and care

How do the bracelets fit?

Every bracelet has a clasp with a short extender chain, so you can adjust it to fit your wrist.

How long is a lanyard?

Each lanyard is about 3 feet of beads, long enough to wear around your neck with keys, an ID, or a badge.

How do I care for my piece?

Keep it dry, so take it off before swimming, showering, or washing your hands. Put on lotion, perfume, and sunscreen first and let them dry. Store it in a pouch or box so it doesn't tangle or scratch, and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid pulling hard on the strand or hanging heavy items from it.

Is it safe for little kids?

Beaded pieces contain small parts and are not meant for children under 3. Keep them away from babies and pets.

Returns and gifts

What is your return policy?

You can return drop pieces within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their original condition. Email orders@miabyliah.com to start a return. Custom pieces are made just for you and can't be returned.

Can I send it as a gift?

Of course. Ask for gift wrap and a handwritten note in the checkout notes, and include the message you'd like.
